Links I'm collecting from friends, family and colleagues to help learn and navigate the amazing landscape of acting in Los Angeles, California (and sometimes other locations when based there).
An acting lab and actor's co-op type of place. Great, nice folks. Amazing actors. Acting workout sessions to build auditioning skills, peer counseling on acting business decisions, low-cost workshops to learn about the industry from casting directors, a resume drop service, and more...
Audition breakdowns, online audition submissions, actors' profiles, resumes, photos, demo reels, and more as-yet unexplored... The breakdowns area includes audition notices from many locations - Chicago, Florida, Toronto, Vancouver, L.A., etc.
The submission and sides-providing engine behind Actors Access (aka Breakdown Services). Other resources, as well.
Basic profile resume/photos, casting director database, monologue database, photographer gallery, casting notices, and more as-yet unexplored...
I've heard but haven't confirmed, that this site is much like Actors Access, except that is more focused on commercial work. Basic profile resume/photos, casting director database, monologue database, photographer gallery, casting notices, and more as-yet unexplored...
I get the print edition of this (thank you, Jeanne!), which recently became one edition (no more East or West separately) that includes all New York, LA and national regional auditions, production lists, and articles on the business. Great recent article on surviving the pilot season. Includes theatre, film and television audition calls, union (equity, SAG, AFTRA, etc.)
Screen Actors Guild (SAG)
Independent Feature Project (IFP)
